Why rattan furniture makes an excellent choice for the autumn
Autumn has some fabulous days when it’s an excellent choice to be outside. It’s a lovely time of year to be out and about in the garden or going for walks.
That special autumnal mixture is like nothing else: glorious sunshine, dropping temperatures, high winds and wonderfully coloured falling leaves, sudden rain and a slight earthy smell, berries and nuts. Oh, and conkers, of course!

Work in the garden
There’s plenty of work to be done in the garden. Lawns need to be cared for. There’s leaf mould to be made from the autumn leaves bonanza. Virginia creeper has to be clipped back from windows and tangled climbing and rambling roses have to be renovated.

And there's lots of other tidying up everywhere.
Sit and admire
After doing all that or ‘just because’, it’s time for a sit down. Rest and admire your work and the changing leaves. It’s great to be outside on a lovely autumn day.
And yet. Autumn is also full of rain, wind, and leaves and other bits and pieces blowing about. Where are you going to sit?
Synthetic rattan is an excellent choice for outside seating
Rattan is an excellent choice for outdoor furniture. Just because it’s autumn (or winter, come to that) doesn’t mean that you don’t want to sit outside in comfort.
If it rains you can just shake the water off the furniture and give it a quick wipe dry with a cloth. If there are leaves or twigs or bits of dust, again, just give the furniture a quick wipe and all will be OK. Keep any soft cushions inside or somewhere dry like a storage box during inclement weather, of course.

And synthetic rattan is easy to clean thoroughly and to store away for the winter.
