halloween jello shots

Everybody loves a jello shot or three, and Halloween is the perfect time for them. Complete the theme with some sour jelly sweets, to give an extra kick, or keep it sweet with vampire teeth or eyeballs. We’ve made three variations, using just half a pack of jelly for each to make 13 shots apiece. Just double up the recipe if you want more.

Disposable shot glasses, available in most large supermarkets, are just the thing for jello shots and if you don’t want to waste the plastic, then you can wash them afterwards. They are pretty useful. We used the old-fashioned packet type jelly. Sugar free granules should work, but we have never personally tried it.

You will need 1 to 2 hours for the jelly to half set, so you can push in the sweets. Another 1 hour is enough to firm them up completely.

The method for all is the same.
